Hannah Cousins - Progress Tracker

Hannah Cousins - Brief number 6: H was working on ideas for her storyboard. her piece is going to be approximately 25 seconds long. H was trying to fix down a narrative. H is going to photograph her paper images and upload them onto Adobe Illustrator.
By 6th Oct 2011: H will have come up with 3 narrative choices and have picked one from them; she is going to include within this some theory such as Todorov and Propp. This will all be blogged by above said date. H has come up with 2 narratives. Need to be put onto vimeo - may not try a 3rd afterall. not certain if she needs a narrative atall as it may be of an introduction tothe characters.
13th Oct 2011: questionnare will be completed and will have some results on this. H is still awaiting to hear back from contact, meaning she cannot post results yet.
H has decided against using Todorov and Propp as her brief only requires an OTS, therefore not developing a full narrative, more of an introduction to the central characters, style and themes.
H has developed and blogged an outline of 'location shots' enabling us to see the early developments of her work.
H has also developed a concept board and is posting this today (having problems with Prezi).
By 20th Oct 2011: H to upload concept board and chosen one of the two concepts presently on the table.
On 20th Oct 2011 H has completed the above tasks on time.
By 3rd Nov 2011: Joe to decide upon the best quality animation package. Hannah to experiment with ideas for soundtrack, using a programme called Garage Band. H is hoping to complete all research for her project, ready for production stages on return from half-term.
On 3rd Nov - Hannah is working on her musical themes. H thinks she has found the musical theme tune that she is going to use for her final project. Not quite ready for production stage as research not completed to her desired standards. So, timeline for production in transit but needs to be considered in the very near future.
By 11th Nov - Hannah to draw closer to production stage.

Alicia Watts - Progress Tracker

Alicia Watts - Brief number 2: A has completed a basic outline of her poster and web-page; compiled some analysis of other videos using the theory of semiotics to explain it.
By 6th Oct: A to decide on title for her task; conduct market research including qualitative and quantitative research. A is going to use a video blog for this. Completed Market research; still has as list of titles to choose from; video blog draft completed.
By 13th 2011: Analysis of film to include lighting and camera angles. A has spent time focusing on Hot Fuzz, Shrooms and Insidious - all posted on her blog.
Also found research on advertisement longevity (how long people remember adverts); some analysis on effects of advertising in relation to effecting people's choice regarding which film/s they watch.
By 20th Oct: A to take pictures of location shots and draft storyboard as planning for shoot must take place during November. Early consideration of location, props, actors and so on vital to success of effective shoot.
On 20th, Alicia has completed some of her location shots; storyboard is under way but incomplete. Location has been decided upon and information on this will be blogged today.
By 3rd Nov - all research to be completed and ready for production stage.
On 3rd Nov - Nearly there Alicia has been considering H and S, certification, music rights, exhibition and distribution - and questionnare and other data.
By 10th Nov - all of above to be blogged and completed.

Whitney Mckernan - Progress Tracker

Whitney McKernan - Brief 1. S was working on Music promo video and is considering using 2 different songs with 3 different locations (the beach, a city scape and B and W in a studio). Within this brief W is going to create a webpage with hyperlinks and a cover for release of a digipack.
By 6th Oct 2011: W to get internet access sorted at the school; blog her paper planning illustrating her influences and research and blog a prezi version of here planning with embedded videos.

Serena Barnes - Progress tracker

Serena Barnes - Brief number 10:
On 28/9/11 S was deconstructing similar texts - elements such as sound, lighting and composition and commenting on strengths and weaknesses. Also adding reflective comments. S was then moving onto exhibition.
By 6th Oct 2011: S to have deconstructed 10 videos as above and blog in different formats such as You Tube, Prezi and video diary.Not completely - some films on there but needs more work.
6th Oct 2011 - S did some work on audience as products; some work on sound theory and watched short film by local film maker in relation to funding.
By 13th Oct 2011: continue to work towards blogging methods of exhibition, to include further analysis and research. - S spent some time on these - providing some excellent research from the BBC Film Network site, but it crashed (arrrgh)- S will have to re-visit this and complete for next week.
On 13th Oct - S Editing Powerpoint on second presentation and is working more on audience theory.
By 20th Oct 2011: S to begin thinking much more about location, location shots, props, costume, casting for her production. To include shooting sequence and other details. We/she plans to shoot in November and may need help from others in the class.
On 20th Oct, S done some research on location, including the idea of using the Guildhall court-room as a location and will endeavour to make contacts there and pursue this. Some research undertaken on props. Found a very useful tool called 'Capture and Annotate' on Google Chrome which she will use to annotate her screenshots.
By Nov 3rd 2011: Serena to attempt to complete research for return to college for this date.
By 3rd Nov - not all complete and S is now considering that she'we gave her too strict a deadline for this as she is now realising the extent of the task.
By 10th Nov 2011 - To continue with research as filming due to take place by end of November.
